研究内容(西村)

 

 これまで所属してきた農林水産省の研究機関に比べて大学農学部の研究環境はその規模は大きくはなく、ヒトもモノも必ずしも十分とは言えません。しかし、それに代わる大きなものがあります。言うまでもなく若い人たちと接することができることです。若い人たちがうまく育っていくようにしながら、その中でできることを見つけながらやっていくことにしています。研究材料はイネとダイズです。これまでに研究を重ねてきた突然変異体やおもしろい品種などを用いて、種子成分や様々なストレス耐性等について限られた研究環境の中で可能な研究を行っています。
